Highland Academy will provide van transporation at the beginning of home leaves, provided there is sufficient demand to make this service feasible. A fee of $35 will be charged to the student’s account for home leave transportation.

Each time a student leaves with someone other than their parents, written permission will be required. This includes the student riding the school’s home leave transportation, if the appropriate home leave transportation form is not on file.

A sign up sheet will be provided two weeks before the home leave. Parents will need to be at the destination points early. The student may be charged $10 on their account for every 1/2 hours the driver has to wait. If the student’s ride is not at the pickup location within one hour, the driver at his/her discretion may continue on to the next stop with your student. It will be the responsibility of the parent to contact the driver and make arrangements for an alternate pickup site and time.

Airport/Bus Station:

A fee will be charged to the student’s account for each trip to and/or from the airport/bus station. All students needing a ride from Highland to the stations for home leave (as well as back to the school at the end of break) need to have a complete itinerary turned into the office by the Friday before the home leave. Flights scheduled to depart or return during the hours of 8:00am and 10:00pm will be charged $40. All other flights that depart or return outside of these times will be charged $60.
